Projects

UNSHELTERED | Dow Jones News Fund

As part of the Dow Jones News Fund digital media internship training, 19 journalists and I worked on a project attempting to put faces to the growing homeless population in Phoenix, Arizona. We completed the project in less than a week. I assisted with reporting and wrote the story for the family and youth section.

#UFStory | UF Social media

Along with a fellow intern, I used UF's official Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat to invite students to guide us in a campus-wide "build your own adventure" game. Here's a video compilation of our day.

Energy Burden | WUFT.ORG

I worked with an environmental journalism class to produce a project tackling the burden of energy for Gainesville's poor. I reported, took photographs and wrote the story for "Aging in Place," the piece on how seniors specifically struggle with energy maintenance and cost.

Our Gainesville | WUFT.org

In this multimedia piece, reporters from WUFT News attempted to capture the diversity of people who call Gainesville home. I reported, wrote the story and produced the video and audio elements for "It's A Cade Thing," a profile on innovator Phoebe Miles, the daughter of the man who invented Gatorade.
